Playa Maderas - San Juan del Sur
About
Playa Maderas - San Juan del Sur
This beach is one of the most attractive for surf lovers, as good and consistent waves form here for practicing this sport, and there are some options for accommodation. The right side of the beach, approaching Majagual, also has its charm. It is less visited and you can find few private houses. Along the way from one side to the other, you can appreciate rock formations and rows of Sacuanjoche trees, the national flower. On the left-hand side, the public infrastructure is scarce. There are a couple of accommodations and eateries on the beach, which were established according to demand. But behind this, there are some options for lodging, from where you have to walk a bit. On the right-hand side of the beach, there is a small camping service where food is also offered. In this area, you can also see several well-conditioned houses, in the middle of a small dry tropical forest.
Practical information: Keep in mind that the road is dirt and can become complicated during the winter. It is preferable to travel in a high or 4x4 vehicle.
